UNIFIED SOUTH AUSTRALIA

Building Equality in South Australia

The First Nations Voice legislation in South Australia was introduced before the national Voice referendum in October 2023, when over 64% of South Australians cast “NO” votes, and without any public engagement. Even though most individuals expressed opposition to the Voice Referendum, the state administration moved forward with the state-based “First Nation’s Voice.” Sarah considers these government’s actions undemocratic, causing dispute and discord in South Australia.

The Voice Repeal Bill aims to bring government policies into line with the democratic decisions made by Australians around the country, including those in South Australia, who have already voted against adding another bureaucratic arm into parliament. Sarah firmly opposes raced based policies, seeing them as harmful to both the advancement of the state and the unity of the community. Actively working to respect and uphold the democratic decisions made by the people of South Australia, Sarah opposes the First Nations Voice legislation introduced by the Malinauskas Labor Government in March 2023.

The Voice Repeal Bill, aimed at entirely removing the Voice was first introduced by Sarah. This bill looks to align the state government’s policies with the democratic decisions made by not only South Australians but Australians nationwide. By opposing the state-based Voice, Sarah is advocating for the preservation of democracy and ensuring the voices of South Australians are heard and respected.

Sarah calls on all concerned citizens of South Australia to join her in this effort to uphold democratic rights and oppose the state-based Voice. Together, we can ensure our voices are heard and democracy is preserved.
