About Sarah Game

Above all, Sarah is a mother to three children.

From a young age, Sarah has always wanted to make a positive contribution to her community. Her father was brought up in a large family in an Adelaide Housing Trust home, where there was never enough money. He taught her the value of hard work and responsibility, to be grateful and appreciative, and not to expect anything from others.

SARAH’S KEY PRIORITIES

Freedom, Transparency and Accountability

Sarah is committed to upholding individual freedoms, and keeping government transparent and accountable to taxpayers โ€“ through a variety of legislative and public awareness measures.
Sarah managed to get her โ€œPublic Sector (Ministerial Travel Reports) Amendment Bill 2023โ€ through parliament, mandating that all SA ministers to report, itemise, and justify their travel expenses within 45 days of their trips.
Sarah also introduced the โ€œPublic Finance and Audit (Cash Payments) Amendment Bill 2024โ€ to forbid public authorities from refusing cash payments, and guarantee people are allowed to pay up to $10,000 in cash for services.
In addition, Sarah will shortly introduce her Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC Recommendations) Amendment Bill 2024, which would restore the reputation of ICAC โ€“ and that of South Australia as a state that takes the integrity of its public serviceย seriously.

Improving Men's Health

With her commitment to advancing targeted solutions for men’s health and raising awareness of men’s issues, Sarah is Australiaโ€™s unofficial โ€œMinister for Menโ€ โ€“ railing against a culture that actively discourages masculinity.
In fact, sheโ€™s calling on the SA Government to establish a portfolio exclusively focused on men and menโ€™s issues, including mental health.
Through her dogged advocacy, Sarah secured significant funding from the SA Labor Government to support menโ€™s health initiatives. She also hosted an International Menโ€™s Day Dinner each year since 2023.

Education and Family Values

Sarah believes in the importance of family and traditional family values. Sarahโ€™s support for family values is seen in a number of her legislative works, including her proposed Parental Primacy Bill, which seeks to re-establish parents and guardians as their childrenโ€™s primary educators in ethical and moral teachings. In addition to her parliamentary work, Sarah secured significant funding for important research on childhood dementia (Little Heroes Foundation).

Supporting Veteran Wellbeing

Recognising their contribution and sacrifice for their country, Sarah is a fierce advocate for veteransโ€™ issues, particularly mental health services, housing, community connections, and financial security.
Sarah secured significant funding for Port Lincoln RSLโ€™s Garden of Remembrance โ€“ the resting place of over 500 veterans โ€“ to keep this significant cemetery maintained, showing our gratitude to those who have contributed so much to our way of life.

In addition, she has advocated for the Federal Government to continue funding the life-saving DAVLS (Defence and Veterans Legal Service) scheme beyond its scheduled September 2024 cessation.

Reduce The Cost of Living

Already put to parliament, Sarahโ€™s motion to urgently review the Patient Assistance Travel Scheme (PATS) โ€“ to aid those living in SAโ€™s often-ignored rural and regional areas โ€“ is among her policies aimed at easing the cost-of-living pressures on everyday South Australians.
Itโ€™s among the many reasons why sheโ€™ll maintain her routine of regularly visiting the stateโ€™s regional and rural areas, and talking to locals.
Sarah also advocates various measures to help reduce the skyrocketing costs associated with energy and property ownership.
She endorses the use of nuclear power, currently pushed aside in favour of unrealistic net-zero solutions, including here in SA. Sarah has called for the immediate abolition of land tax in South Australia.
She believes removing this unnecessary tax burden will increase rental availability and affordability for SAโ€™s most vulnerable, help keep many struggling small businesses afloat, and also drive investment in our state.
Sarah also supports a review of residential stamp duty, calling for exemptions for first-time home buyers of ALL houses (not just new builds), plus concessions for those downsizing.

Unified South Australia

Sarah introduced the First Nations Voice Repeal Bill, which takes aim at South Australiaโ€™s ridiculous race-based piece of legislation.
Unlike the SA Liberals, who have failed to definitively declare they would repeal the SA Voice, Sarah has been the lone, consistent and decisive South Australian MP on this issue.
She believes South Australians should be treated on merit and need, rather than race and identity.

โ€œMy aspiration hasn’t always been about wanting to be in politics. It has been, from a young age, how can I live a meaningful life and make a contribution? That’s guided all my decisions in life.โ€
